li I do not believe that a person’s religious views should affect their treatment of others. I
believe that a person should treat someone as they would want to the treated. No matter what
someone’s religion is they don’t know how someone else really is. Someone could be a really
good person but not stand up to someone’s values because of their religious standards but if
someone treats that different because of that than doesn’t that go against their religion?
I do think that humble generosity described in column two does still exist today but very
seldom and in few places. For instance there are people who volunteer to help other people who
are in need of it without expecting anything in return and don’t brag about it. Some places for
instance are homeless shelters, churches that give away food and clothes, even help with bills,
and Salvation Army. To me this is a valued trait because the people they help need the help and
appreciate it. Also, knowing that there are people still out there that isn’t just out to help their self
and make their self look good for helping someone but really care about helping other people.
If I had to rewrite the story the example I would use a person from a homeless shelter who
was religious that helps out many homeless people and had a class that the homeless people
could take where that person teaches about God and about having faith and living their life right.
