Proposal

Due to the restructuring of our organization, it has become apparent that we need to expand and build additional positions within the operations department. Because our operational optempo has increased within the last year, it has been difficult to keep up with our fast passed working environment. We are looking to build five new positions in which one of these positions will be a management positions who will have the responsibility of managing the four other positions within the team.

The rest of this proposal will outline each positions roles and responsibilities to include the actual job description of each. In addition, a comprehensive training program that will enhance each individual skill will be discussed in detail. Lastly, we will go into detail on how the evaluation of each position and as a team will be implemented.

Position 1. Supervisory Team chief. This position will have the responsibility of providing leadership and oversight over four positions that will report directly to them. Oversight will include instructor scheduling, class builds, seat requirements, physical security, personnel security, ammunition distribution, training schedule compliance, and yearly training calendar submission to include providing yearly training guidance. Incumbent must have knowledge in budgetary requirements and know how to manage financial data as it relates to the operations department. Must have the knowledge to build and edit data via Microsoft office, Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Outlook. Must have critical thinking skills, which will allow the incumbent to execute written and verbal orders. Incumbent must be knowledgeable in managing a team environment and be able to articulate through policy letters the laws and regulations that govern employment-working relationships.
