Humanity, Responsible for Global Warming

Global Warming affects the entire world by the way society will live and prevail. Over the past two thousand years, the climate has increasingly heated to an all-time high. Many people question whether this is just an act of nature or is humankind responsible. According to, (2007) article (Fossil fuels are to blame, world scientist conclude) (Patrick O’Driscoll and Dan Vergano) (USAToday) “Two Science magazines studies in 2005 of satellite and balloon measurements of temperature confirmed the Earth’s atmosphere is warming exactly as predicted from human caused increases in carbon dioxide.” These increases come from the burning of fossil fuels such as coal, oil, and natural gases. Once burned, these fossil fuels release carbon dioxide (CO2) into the atmosphere. This in the long run holds a worldwide impact of devastation. If we had more renewable energy regulations and voluntary conversion, we could begin to lower the affect.

This is not an issue is that can be put on the back burner but it is important to the wellbeing of our future and generations to come. Preserving the existence of life is a matter of moral duty to protect all of humanity. If we continue to neglect life as if it is not valuable, we are demonstrating war among ourselves. When we continue to release harmful toxins into the air we breathe, there is no justification for the harm caused. The Earth’s crust will continue to heat at fast speeds, as poverty and death become the result. How can we morally wait and lay for such tragedy.

It is a heartbreaking thought of the disaster headed our way. The change in climate will not affect only a small number of population, but the entire demographic area that spreads across the Earth’s surface. We will begin to see more sickness caused by the heat that will affect our lungs and breathing, infectious diseases will spread at its all-time high, increasing deadly weather, lack of food and water supply, and shrinkage...
