It is clearly evident that as time has passed businesses’ around the world have continued to expand around the world. By evolving in such a manner, it has created a very diversified business atmosphere around the world. Due to immigration the United States has become a huge melting pot of many nationalities around the world. This has definitely impacted many workforces as it creates an environment that is composed of many nationalities around the world. In result to this many managers are forced to adapt to managing in a cultural diversified manner. Managers nowadays have to be more flexible and knowledgeable to the behaviors, values, and beliefs of all their different type of employees. It is recommended that managers have more interactions with their different type of employees so they can adapt to the different type of values and beliefs of their employees. According to the textbook Organizations, it is important to fit the people with jobs appropriate for their abilities, skills, needs, values, and preferences. What seems right for a Honduran immigrant may be totally different to a French immigrant. Managers will have to continue to be more open in learning different lifestyles and beliefs around the world. If a manager understands the beliefs and values of each of their employees then it will make it a lot easier to deal with its employees and providing a more efficient and comfortable environment. Communication is key in the workforce; therefore it is crucial that managers invest their time in trying to learn a language that allows them to communicate well with the large percentage of employees. There are many suggestions and advantages that a manager can possess in working in a culturally diversified environment, none is more important than the ability of not ignoring the fact that we will continue to be more diversified and we as managers have to adapt to be successful.
