As an organization grows, managing the employees has become more and more difficult. The Human Resources (HR) serves as the heart of most organizations. HR carries the largest cost center considering the impact on financial dealing with salaries and benefits. HR deals with hiring, performance management, absenteeism, and other related employee actions is a hassle to track. With certain software and information systems set in place, this provides an essential means to properly collect employee information and allow for management to make any necessary decisions for the organization.

In order to effectively and efficiently fill a position, work productivity must be maintained. This allows more control over the amount of overtime and training needed for a position. By using an applicant tracking system, applications are rank by skills, education and experience. This allows an organization to hire an applicant with experience and /or skills base on the position needing to be filled. Also this is a cost effectively measure, less training is required.

When using software to manage performance evaluations, this allows for creating succession plans, developing plans, training and organizing talent. The cost effective approach helps determines the rate of raises given to employees. This helps keep managers update with reminders from the system to submit evaluations in a timely manner.

Employee Self Service software provides employees with the means to view their benefits. This tool allows the employee to make any changes through the system and to keep track of their total compensation package. Also, allows the employee to view what portion the employer is contributing toward the employee benefits.
