Communication and collaboration are essential when working within a group of individuals with different learning styles and personality types. Each person’s different learning styles and personality types allow for a diversity amount of ideas to be shared. In order for a team to successfully work the team members must have proper communication and collaboration with each team members learning style and personality types. An individual’s learning style is the minds particular way of taking in and processing information. Everyone has certain things in which they are really good at and other things they have difficulty grasping. In order to determine my learning style and personality type I took two assessments Multiple Pathways to Learning and the Personality Spectrum.

Multiple Pathways to Learning is an assessment based on Professor Howard Gardner’s Multiple Intelligence Theory that focuses on learning strengths and preferences. Professor Howard Gardner believes that there are at least eight intelligences possessed by all people, and that every individual has intelligences that are more fully developed than others. In this paper we will only focus on three different learning styles that compliment and in some cases require both to collaborate as to make a better learning method verbal-linguistic, visual spatial, and interpersonal.

It has become a common practice in today’s business world to be creative and refreshing when one’s opportunities to make an important meeting that can very well lead to deals being made or undone. With visual spatial we hold the attention of the guest with visual aids either with charts and graphs or pamphlets the guest can touch. But they are not as effective by it self but can be combined with verbal linguistics which play the roll of explaining exactly what the visual aid and what charts say.
