Is There a God?

AXIA College of the University of Phoenix

Is there a God? What will happen to us when we die? Will we meet our maker? These are questions I have asked myself for years. Will we get to see those who died before us? I want to believe in my heart there is a god. I want to believe when we die I will in fact meet my maker and I will get to see my mother and grandparents again.

With all the craziness in life and such horrible things happen to good people it is hard to believe there is a god watching over us and protecting us from evil. How could a god allow so much evil? May be in fact we are living in hell right now and we have to get through this life to make it to heaven.

I don’t believe there is all evil in this world; there is so much more good out there than evil, it just feels at times the evil always over powers the good. I am sure this is because our media publicizes the evil and the all the good that is done in the world seems to be pushed aside. It makes me wonder if lived 100 years ago would I feel the same way before computers and Television?

I was raised as a catholic and taught to believe there is a god. Today I do not attend church because I do not believe in a lot the catholic has to offer. However I do believe there is a god, I do believe in our next life we will have a chance to meet god. I do believe there has to be more to life then just dying. I believe there has to be some sort endless life.

How was this world created? I don’t believe the world could have just created it’s self. I feel there has to be another power that created this world. Take the human body. It is such a complicated machine. Who created it? What created us? I feel there has to be much stronger power than saying it was just created. I feel some kind of power like a god has created all of us.
