1. Explain what is meant by “sexual intelligence.” Examine and understand the influences which have contributed to your own sexual intelligence. To understand & have the skill to make responsible decisions, to have basic knowledge and form your own opinion.

2. Define the term “psychosocial” as it applies to the orientation of the text, and explain why the authors choose to emphasize this perspective. Combination of Psychological & Social factors- Depending on how you are raised, what you believe in, come from and even learned behavior can all factor into it

3. Discuss how the sex-for-procreation legacy has evolved historically, and explain how this theme affects sexual attitudes and behaviors today. Sex was only considered for procreation & not for recreational purposes. Once considered a no-no (sin) Attitudes have changed over time and it has become more acceptable. Different forms (oral, masturbating) also have become popular and considered another option.

4. Discuss how the gender role legacy has evolved historically, and explain how this theme affects sexual attitudes and behaviors today. It is a double standard, its cool or okay for men to “Score” but looked down upon for women to do the same. What’s right for men isn’t right for women (Slut/Hoe)

I think this stance is also changing in today’s times, I can see a small change in attitudes against women being able to have a greater role

5. Describe the difficulty in determining what constitutes “normal” sexual behavior, citing specific cross-cultural examples to support your explanation. What is normal for one person might not be considered normal for someone else

6. Discuss the sexual attitudes and behaviors of the people in China and the Islamic Middle East. China- Once a week, cheating was looked down upon, couldn’t hold hands Communist rule Gov controlled it. Behavior ways are changing - masturbation, porn, premarital sex
