In the United States Navy are core values are Honor, Courage, and Commitment. These three basic principles have laid the foundation for continued success with in the Navy and with in are own Naval careers and it has enabled us to meet and conquer every new challenge that has come are way thus far. So what is Honor Courage and Commitment?

Honor - true faith and allegiance; conducting ourselves in the highest ethical manner in all relationships with peers, superiors, and subordinates. Abide by an uncompromising code of integrity, taking responsibility for our actions and keeping our word.

Courage - support and defend; make decisions in the best interest of the Navy and the nation, without regard to personal consequences. Be loyal to our nation, ensuring the resources entrusted to us are used in an honest, careful, and efficient way.

Commitment - obey the orders; Show respect up and down the chain of command. Show respect to all people without regard to race, religion, or gender. Be committed to positive change and constant improvement.

These are some true definitions of Honor Courage and Commitment but I am going to give you my definitions of Honor Courage and Commitment first off im going to start with Commitment.

Commitment - To say you are going to do something and you do it. I have committed myself to Navy and there for I will do everything that is asked of me in a manner that I hope exceeds the expectations of my peers and chain of command.
