Decision in paradise two

There are several methods that can use to accomplish the part two in the decision- making steps. Identifying causes of the problem is straight forward, simply put, lack of parental control! The problem solving tools and techniques we will use to identify, frame, evaluate, and make the decision will be based on “flow charts” and “check sheets”. Both of these items when properly used can be an organizational miracle to keep it simple and help maintain direction. I will first have to create a flow chart with diagrams and simple directions easily translated and readily visible for the testing centers and references for treatment option and positives logs at each individual work station.

The alternative is bringing in expensive well trained medical staff from the United States, which doesn’t seem like a long term solution. Now that I have identified the cause of problem lack of parental control due to HIV and framed the alternatives it is time to evaluate the impacts of the alternative. As I mentioned the long term success of Kava’s ability to educate and counsel these teens for its devastating HIV epidemic depends upon the stability, training and patients of the workforce we prepare to lead independently without a large American presence. The next part of the alternative that goes along with the flow charts is a series of “check sheets”. These check sheets will be put on every work station in every department where steps need to be followed to accomplish a specific task.

The check sheets are used to show a specific positive for HIV, need for counseling services and weather parents are deceased. The flow chart and check sheet will work in conjunction of each other and ultimately be a “fail safe” mechanism or tool used to help the educating island people of Kava to remain negative from the disease.
