Gaming can help you learn better in school because it keeps you interested in what you are learning. Gaming can help you learn better in school, but it depends on the games that are played. If you are just playing games for fun than you are learning the game but not getting a lot of knowledge from it but if you are playing a learning game that can teach you about things like science, social studies and math by playing the game over and over you can get smart from the game. Gaming can help you learn but you have to pick games that are learning and teaching and not games just for fun.

According to a study that was done by David McDivitt from Converse, Illinois, 110 students were picked and divided up, half of the students did school gaming and half of the students did school the normal way using text books. From the study it was proven that the kids who did the school work through gaming did better in class because they remembered the information better.

The chart listed below shows that there was a bigger degree of improvement in learning from the kids who gamed. According to the study, it depended on the game that the students played at how well they did in their classes. They played learning games that was related to the studies that were being done and through the learning games the students learned better and had fun when they was learning.

After reading the material on the internet, I decided to do a study related to gaming and how it helps students with the learning process. The concepts of gaming can help to teach a student how to learn through the process of repeating the game over and over again.

I used an X-Box 360 and played games dealing with history, during the course of my experiment I took tests weekly to see how much improvement was made during the gaming process over a period of time.
