Diligence vs. Slothfulness

Proverbs13v. 4

Jesus Christ was diligent in everything that he did. He was diligent about pleasing the Father, he was diligent in ministry, in prayer, even to his death. That’s why God could say,” This is my beloved son in whom I am well pleased.” Scripture also declares, “Who for the joy that was set before him, endured the cross, despising the shame and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.”

When we served the devil, everything we done we were determined to do it and when we wanted to do it, nothing was going to stop us. Therefore I thank God through Jesus Christ for his saving grace that has brought us in to his marvelous light and giving us a chance to seek him.

Saul had a zeal for persecuting the church and was persistent and diligent about it. Until that one day Jesus confronted him on the road to Damascus, by shining a light so bright from heaven that it blinded him for three days. Aren’t you glad Jesus confronts us in our mess.(Elaborate)

After Saul who was converted to Paul started to seek the lord, he had a zeal for edifying the church instead of persecuting, he was diligent about ministry, instead of his own will. With us now being converted we can count all our past, what we lost, and what we want as a loss for the persuit of Jesus. Philippians 3v. 28 says “ But what things were gain to me, those I count loss for Christ. Yes doubtless, and I count all things, but loss for the excellency of the knowledge of Christ Jesus my lord: for whom I have suffered the loss of all things, and do count them but dung, that I may win Christ.”

Let me break it down to you. Ladies some of you all used to give that man your whole check. You had counted everything else loss so you could seek that man. Some women will sell their food stamps so they can help that man reup. Have your mom and granny saying child what’s wrong with you. You ought to get foolish like that for Jesus and have folks glorifying God saying you gone...
