Introduction

Most companies now seeking to develop technologies and techniques to resort to the best and the fastest and least expensive. Therefore, we find one of the most important companies in Muscat (Al-Khalid Company) is seeking to develop technologies. So as to benefit the large group of people.

The company is suffering from the problem of slow communications between branches and customers, because The PBX system installed in Al-Khalid Corporation is not sufficient to solve all employees demand at once. It seeks to obtain and install new PBX stations and require more trunk lines, but consider that this is difficult to achieve.

The Scope

The scope of this report is: the development of communication system in Al-Khalid Company, using voice over Internet protocols (VoIP) to reduce the bill for internal branch and outside long distance calls. And interested in providing telephone facility to all the staff to communicate across their branch offices. As well as identify the advantages of the VoIP. Also, to know Quality of Service (QoS) and the beast company which can provide the VoIP devices.

Voice over internet protocol (VOIP) is one of the most important developments in this age. It is provide access to voice communication in any place around the world. It is also called IP Telephony. It is another way of making phone calls, though the phone part is not always present anymore. It has many benefits. Some of these benefits are:

1. Cost Efficient:

It is cheaper than the normal landline telephone cost, be it short or long distance calls. We can use it for free, If available a computer with a microphone and speakers, and a good Internet connection.

2. Flexibility:

We can take the VOIP adapters anywhere and use the number anywhere there’s an internet connection. Also, Secure calls using standardized protocols (such as Secure Real-time Transport Protocol).
