A problem in my day-to-day life that I would like to solve is time management. I am now better than I use to be with managing my time, but there is still room for improvement. I have been researching and asking other people how they manage their time and I have been trying different things now for a couple months. I want to solve this problem of time management because I recently had a baby, and I was finding that there was no time for myself, my husband, my schoolwork, the new baby, my social life, housework and work. I was tired for not having time to do the things I wanted and I was tired of not getting things done during the day. I am trying all sorts of ways, that way I find the best way that fits my lifestyle. I have found that I need to work on my goal setting and my prioritization.

I do not take the time to sit down and plan on where I want to go, or what needs to be done to get there. (2009) I have tried to sit down and plan things, for example, my husband and I have decided that we would like to buy our first house at the end of this year. Well my problem is that I do not know what needs to be done and what steps need to be accomplished and when I sit down to think about it and research it, I get side tracked or frustrated and then I end up giving up. After doing some research and finding out how other people set goals, I have found that it is not as hard as I make it to be.

A tip that I have found to use is to find a time where I can gather all my thoughts and sit and relax when I plan out things. For example, my best time to sit and relax is right before I go to bed. This is the time that I get out my notebook and write down all the things I need to get done for the next day or in the next couple of days. This way I can see what I need to do on paper, and once it is done, I cross it off to show myself that I am getting somewhere.
