1) What is Michelin’s Mission Statement?

Michelin’s Mission Statement is “to make a sustainable contribution to progress in the mobility of people and goods by constantly enhancing freedom of movement, safety, efficiency and pleasure when on the move”.

It means that Michelin wants to develop the safety, mobility of the people who move.

For that, Michelin has to improve the technical performance of its products, has an important part in the debate about new ways of transports,...

Michelin is the number one and does all is best to stay number one.

2) Can you identify Michelin goals/objectives and divide the objectives identified into –Organisational; Consumer; Product; operational- goals?

Organisational: All about the employees (safety at work, training, diversity of the work)

Consumer: The Company has to answer to the needs and wants of the consumers (sales growth, market shares, delivery, and product reliability). It’s all about the market too.

Product: All about the production (manufacturing cost per type, production capacities, flexibility)

Operational: all about the economy of the Company and the market (market it’s an operational and consumer type of objectives)

3) Does Michelin have primary and/or secondary objectives, and if so what are they?

In the document we can see that Michelin has primary and secondary objectives.

Primary objectives: facilitate the mobility and long-term performance.

Secondary objectives: The market and the customers, the employees, the economic performance, environmental policy and the production and manufacturing.
