Haunted House

Sweat trickled down my back as I panicked and turned here and there frantically, desperate to find a way out of the thick creepy forest. I glanced at my brother Michael who also looked frustrated. Suddenly, my eye caught on a narrow path. My whole body started to ease out and I was having a glimpse of hope that I could get out of the forest. Little did I know what would happen next..! Michael saw the sudden excitement on my face and saw the path too! “Come on Justin! What are you waiting for? Let’s GO!” Michael said jumping with joy. I smiled and started walking up the path. After a while, a creepy looking house came into view..! As we got closer and closer to the house, a chill ran down my spine. Fear started creeping into my body. Varieties of bones and skulls accompanied the front yard. Mosses grew here and there making the house look totally old! The roofs seemed as if they would implode at any second. “This place is totally gross”, Michael muttered. I nodded my head in agreement. “Let’s go into the house...!” I told Michael. “No way, I’m not going....” Before he could finish off his sentence, I grabbed his hand and ran straight up the doorsteps. The door was slightly ajar. I peeped in and opened the door. Inside, I heard someone humming a song. I looked at Michael and told him to keep quiet. The house had tons and tons of rooms. I started walking towards the sound. Suddenly, I came face to face with a hag who looked like a ragamuffin. She looked horrendous. She had a sinful grimace on her face. Her eyes were grey and cold. Her nose was crooked and she was bent. She wore a loose black; ghost-like robe which made her look even creepier! The witch saw us staring. “What are you staring at?!” she rasped. “Nothing...” I stammered, taking a step back with fear.
