Part 3: North American Colonies Response

Abstract

The eastern side of the new world was shaped with colonies that until this day have kept their original names, I would compare and contrast to of the colonies that were founded along the eastern side of the shore and those two colonies are Virginia and Massachusetts Bay. This paper would illustrate why the colonies of Virginia are so similar to the Massachusetts Bay colony.

There are several similarities and differences between the Virginia colony and the Massachusetts Bay colony, when we speak of goals, government, social structure, and religion. Early civilization of British American colonies were very distinct to one another this was because they each set up their own goals for each colony. The Virginia colony, the first successful English colony was Jamestown, established in 1607 near Chesapeake Bay, located on the eastern region just as the Massachusetts Bay colony. Government, social structure and religion are some of the specifications each of these two cultures had that we could find some similarities. These steps show how the Virginia colony and the Massachusetts Bay colony had similar ways of life. Religion on these parts of the region consist of the influences of the British, which was protestant, both of these two colonies shared the same religious believed as the people which happened to lived on these colonies where decedents of the British. When we talk about these two colonies goals they shared the same principles of how to make their colonies goals work; of course during this period of time the colonies where trying to establish colonies that would be long lasting and that would also become powerful in the economical structure of those other colonies. Their governmental views could draw similarities from the other colonies in the eastern region as all of the colonies where self governed, real politics weren’t introduced until later years,...
