“A hundred years from now it will not matter what my bank account was, the sort of house I lived in, or the kind of car I drove….but the world maybe different because I was important in the life of a child.” (Davis, Kathy 1998) These words spoken by a real professional teacher is what every teacher should remember when entering a classroom every morning! As a professional teacher working within a state funded school district a teacher must remember that there are students of different ethnic and religious backgrounds. Also to take into consideration is the classroom environment. Keeping a neat classroom with little clutter is a difficult task but necessary to succeed. Developing a class with students who can accept others for not living the same as they are is important. A classroom project involving setting up a bulletin board would be a wonderful way for students to interact with one and other.

In every school in the United States each classroom has it very own “atmosphere”. Within these atmospheres are the teachers hard at work maintaining a classroom of tolerance, acceptance, and caring. Since all students are different, it is important that every student within the classroom setting respects each other to help raise productivity in the classroom. As a teacher it is very important to create this atmosphere of acceptance, tolerance, and caring within the classroom in order to provide for the diverse needs of the students. Practicing acceptance as well as tolerance in the class can provide a nicer atmosphere where students have the ability to be comfortable with them but also this will allow the students to let go of preconceived biases. By providing an environment such as this it will allow for students to learn more about what’s inside another student instead of judging other students by what they look like. By teachers practicing tolerance, acceptance, and caring it will promote better teamwork, higher respect and confidence within the classroom....
