A Doll’s House response paper

In his play a Doll’s House Ibsen although seemed that his theme or plot was to solve women problem, but yet he states otherwise, he states that his concern was the description of humanity, human behavior and relations. In this paper we will view how this play reflects human relations and humanity, and also will view the significance of Nora as the main protagonist character in the play which helped illustrating his main theme.

A Doll’s House witnessed the change in Nora’s character from being featherheaded to being a more independent person who is living for herself. This made it clear that his theme was fixing the problem of those women who live as dolls and viewed as that in the society. Ibsen shows us how such a character changed through the love to a woman, Kristen, as after illustrating their love to each other he claims his letter back and sends the contract back to Nora, which shows such a change to this character. Thirdly, there is Kristen who is an independent individual, who life has taught her to be tough. Nora witnessing...
