Designating English as the Official Language of the United States

Currently, and surprisingly, there is no official language designated for the United States of America. Should English be that official language for the United States of America? When thinking about the United States it is thought of as an English speaking country and the Official Language needs to be represented for many reasons. When the public voted they were extremely divided; with the United States should be language-less, then others came it should be Spanish, and while there are, others whom view it should be multilingualism. Both the citizens and illegal immigrants of various backgrounds, not only the English and non-English speaking, view the United States for having heated debates and political upheavals.

When researching the Official Language of America they have found that using the US Constitution is a viable source because it gives financial implications in resulting determination of an Official Language in America. The government and voters intend to argue over the matter of English as the Official Language because it could be turned into whether America should stay a diverse country or have one designated language. This subject is extremely important to voters because there are American workers who cannot get a job because they are not bi-lingual. Most medical jobs in America require their employees to be bi-lingual that way they do not have to spend any extra money on getting a translator.
