Career Development Plan Summary

Kudler Fine Foods is committed to providing their customers with the finest selection of the very best foods and wines so that their culinary visions can come true. Kudler Fine Foods was started in 1998 by Kathy Kudler. Kathy opened her first store in La Jolla, California and has since opened two additional stores. Kudler is currently in need of a restructuring plan. Kudler will be creating five new positions, which will work in its current three stores as well as the new store location once it opens. In this proposal, I will outline the five new positions, descriptions and qualifications for those positions, training programs, incentives and benefits, management strategies, a compensation plan, and methods for providing feedback on both employee individual performance evaluations and teamwork evaluations.

As previously mentioned, we will be staffing five new positions at Kudler Fine Foods. Those positions include an operations manager, a purchasing manager, an inventory manager, an event coordinator, and a delivery person. The job descriptions and qualifications for the positions are as follows:

• Operations Manager – The Operations Manager will oversee all of the day to day operations for all three Kudler stores. This position is a first-level management position and will be in charge of the entire Kudler staff. This position will report directly to Kathy. The Operations Manager will be taking over some of the tasks that Kathy currently performs in an attempt to allow her to focus on other aspects of the business that are lacking. The Operations Manager must possess a Master’s level degree in Business Administration as well as at least five years’ experience in retail management.
