Amongst scholars, Jesus and Mohammed have been called as being one in the same. Both of these figures were born at different times. The similarity is that both served very parallel purposes while on Earth. During a strong era, Jesus promoted Christianity and Mohammed promoted Islam. Both of their methods were to establish and strengthen each respective faith or religion. This paper will trace and distinguish the lives of Jesus and Mohammed, it will show the impact of each death. It will also describe how both of them were worshiped. Jesus was born to Virgin Mary and was conceived by the Holy Spirit through Immaculate Conception. The place were Jesus was born is in Bethlehem in the 4th year before the Common Era (BCE). During Mary's pregnancy, both Joseph and Mary were required to travel to Bethlehem. Upon arrival in Bethlehem there was no place to sleep. The couple ended up staying in a stable among side the animals and in the same night, Mary gave birth to a boy. He was named Jesus, in which means "God saves" (Fisher, 2005, p.288). Many shepherds, who were very poor, came up to the stable to pay their respect to the new parents and also considered Jesus the Savior. Jesus was 12 when he traveled to Jerusalem for Passover.
