Re: Request for Tuition Assistance

I am requesting tuition assistance for a Business Communication course that will be offered at Kaplan University. The purpose of this course is to develop business professional’s communication approach, focusing on written and oral engagements. I am confident that the skills this course will equip me with will benefit the company also. Working as an Academic Advisor requires a great deal of communication with students, colleagues and management through emails, memos, presentations, mail- merges, letters and reports.

Effective communication is essential at all levels of an organization. I hope to move up the ladder in the near future and I trust that this course will provide me with the skills needed to be successful in a management role. The new skills I will obtain by completing this Business Communication course will benefit the company by delivering and upholding out professional image.

The Business Communication course will be offered from March 1, 2010 through May 10, 2010. This course will be offered in an online learning environment, and will not affect my work schedule as the class will be taught on my off days. The cost per credit hour is $341, with 5 credit program requirements and the total cost of tuition is $1,705. The most flexible payment option available is $1000 as the initial payment, then the final amount $705 due by April 1, 2010. All textbooks and other reading materials are included in the tuition price that I have provided.
