1. Using the critical thinking skills you have gained so far and referring to the materials provided for this assignment, identify two possible strategies that Thomas Hutchinson or Samuel Adams likely used to develop and improve their thinking as those historical events unfolded prior to taking a stand and acting according to their beliefs.

I have determined that Samuel Adams more than likely visualized the solution to the problem first and foremost. Once he had the problem and the solution in hand, he used relevant scenarios and information to achieve the solution These two critical thinking skills would have helped with the solution that comes from the Boston Tea Party. When planning the Boston Tea Party, there were able to visualize the solution after they thought through all of the situations that they could have used and did in fact use. Though using scenarios which were relevant to their circumstances, they were to plot counter strikes.

2. Explain the importance of building a foundation for critical and creative thinking when evaluating historical events such as the Boston Tea Party.

It is important to build a critical and creative thinking foundation when someone evaluates historical events such as the Boston Tea Party because it allows someone to evaluate how their society has changed and why it changed. By thinking creatively, one can put themselves in the shoes of historical characters and imagine what it felt like and why they made their decisions. One can do this for the Boston Tea Party.
