Cruising is the only way to vacation.

For many people looking to be catered, there’s nothing like taking a cruise. The size of the ship is enormous, Monarch of the Sea is this Cruise liners’ name. It weighs 138 tons, over 1,020 feet long; 3114 passenger capacity. The staff is prompt, helpful and professional. My wife and I checked in at the Ship’s reception desk, our luggage is taken up to our state room. The ship set out to sea from Port Canaveral, Florida, where we saw one of the most beautiful sunsets ever. They informed us of the few formalities that go on around the ship. One being the evacuation plan, the other is the Captains formal dinner. I had never been so pampered and catered to in my life.

While touring as many of the 14 levels that were accessible to us, we tried taking advantage of as many of the amenities as we could. The full body massage was awesome at the spa. There was always a buffet open somewhere on the ship, even late night. The ships first dinner is usually the Captains Formal. It was red carpet. Pictures were taken, drinks were served, and dinner was a three course, five star experience.

Our first Port of Call was Nassau, Bahamas. There was a great deal of walking and a lot of shopping to do. We took plenty of pictures of the locals and the exotic Caribbean culture. Other amenities included, salt water swimming pools, the gyms, a theater, clubs for all types and tastes, many casinos, and of course, more food from the many buffets. They offered various Caribbean adventures including parasailing, swimming with dolphins, and deep sea fishing. My wife and I politely declined an offer to feed the sharks and instead took advantage of the snorkeling. We were in awe of the brilliant colors of the tropical underwater habitat of the coral reef which was teaming with life.

Our next Port of Call was to a private island owned by Royal Caribbean...
