Introduction

1.1 Emergence of the report:

This report is prepared to fulfill the basic requirement to complete the “Banking and Insurance (BUS# 303)” course of B.B.A. program. As virtual experience is a prerequisite to complete the course, we worked on ATM Card service of Dhaka Bank Ltd, Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd and Islami Bank Bangladesh Ltd.

1.2 Backdrop of the report:

Theoretical knowledge on any subject becomes more fruitful and effective when it is applied in real life. We can understand the benefits of our theoretical knowledge when we get the chance to apply them in the practical life. Obtaining theoretical knowledge on any subject is only the halfway of it because implementation of theoretical knowledge is the ultimate goal to obtain it. Being a very practical course “Banking and Insurance” requires a large extent of implementation of its theories and procedures in the real life. To meet up this requirement we prepared the report titled “ATM service in Bangladesh: Comparative analysis of Dhaka Bank Ltd, Dutch-Bangla Bank Ltd & Islamic Bank.”. As students of “Banking and Insurance” preparing this report played a significant role to make our knowledge more transparent and sharpen regarding the course.

1.3 Objectives of the report:

The objective of the report is to gain more knowledge about ATM Card service in Bangladesh.

• To meet up the requirement of “Banking and Insurance”;

• To get a clear view of ATM Card service;

1.4 Methodology of the report:

To complete the report we went through systematic process. First of all we did some library work on the topic to get the primary knowledge. On the basis of that knowledge we prepared our questionnaire to collect more information from a concern person. Than we went to bank for collect data and interviewed some officer of the bank.

Collected data and information about the topic and analyzed them. Finally we prepared the report and made recommendations.
