A School I Once Attended

The school I once attended is No.1, Basic Education High School, Oakshitpin. It is situated in Padaung Township, Bago Division, Myanmar. It was set up in 1984. I attended this school from 8th standard to 10th standard. I passed Matriculation examination from this school in 2002. I went to this school by ferry because it was about 7 miles far from my home. The atmosphere in which our school was situated was very pleasant. It was surrounded by a playground on one side and a garden on the other. The school had two rows of big buildings. The one was three-storeyed building and the other is one-storeyed building. The name of the school was written on the one-storeyed building. There were forty class rooms in three-storeyed building. The classrooms are neat and tidy. Other ten rooms in one-storeyed building were used for different purposes such as the Head Master’s Office, Library, the Clerk’s Office, the Science Laboratory, the Teachers’ Common-room, etc. There were fifty teachers, a librarian and five clerks in our school. All the teachers were qualified and experienced. They were kind-hearted and good at teaching. The Head Master taught Science and English. The total number of students in our school was about one thousand. The school functioned from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM. In annual examinations the students from our school showed brilliant performance. I feel it was a good school because of the discipline, the study atmosphere and the brilliant academic result of our school. It was an ideal school in all respects.
