Synergetic Solutions is a six million company in the business of systems integration, assembling and reselling leading computer brands. The chief Financial Officer wants to make into the network solutions business of designing and implementing complex computer networks. This essay will focus on the choices the CFO will make in implanting these changes and look at the internal and external forces of change for Synergetic Solutions, factors a leader in the organization needs to weigh to implement a change strategy successfully, change models a leader might employ, resistance a leader might expect to see in Synergetic Solutions and strategies that might be employed to manage resistance from employees.
Internal and External Factors
According to Robbins and Judge (2007) (p. 645), there are several internal and external factors for change in an organization. These factors include Nature of workforce, Technology, Economic shocks, Competition, Social trends, and World politics. Theinternal and external factors are what caused Synergetic Solutions to make the changes need in the organization.
The external forces for Synergetic Solutions are Technology, Competition and Social trends. Information and Technology can be an external force that has deterministic force on organizational structure. Technology continues to grow at a rapid pace. The company needs to stay on focused on technological changes to increases their bottom line. Technology also can be used to get more work done in a shorter period. New strategies and methods can help synergetic stay above the competition and avoid becoming irrelevant. Synergetic old way of system integrations was clearly outdated.
