Dorfman Pacific’s problems consist of import and export out of the warehouse, the lack of information was created by relying on paper work to complete orders for shipping. We could fix these problems with organizing the warehouse by giving over time and hiring temporary staff, or we can look deeper into the system of the warehouse and go with wireless technology. There are two paths to look for the best solution, looking at spending money I see the company staying where it is at or add the wireless system for item location in the warehouse. In order to cut down on paperwork adding the wireless system will speed up time with placing and filling orders, it can also organize the warehouse by shipments received to be placed in the warehouse near its departure.

The Dorfman Company used a joint application design to fix the ordering system to paperless and added a scanning system with equipment to log all the inventory into the system for shipping, the main system had to be changed also to include the software incorporated with all the services that they communicated with.

To describe my methodologies I would use structured development methods to focus on storing the information to keep the process of data flowing into the company in order to achieve profit, the flow of data can be read to keep inventory in the correct shipping location. To keep expanding I would use web services to provide future expansion to the company, we can provide shipping services through the website.
