1. Using the critical thinking skills you have gained and the materials provided for this assignment, identify two possible strategies that Thomas Hutchinson or Samuel Adams, or both, likely used to develop and improve his thinking prior to taking a stand and acting according to his beliefs. Two strategies that Thomas Hutchinson and Samuel Adams used to develop and improve their thinking prior to taking a stand and acting according to their beliefs were comparing the advantiges and disadvantages of solicitation. They had a plan to dress as Indians to invade ships that were carrying tea. They were able to use their critical thinking skills to create a plan and execute it to perfection.

2. Explain the importance of building a foundation for critical and creative thinking when evaluating historical events such as the Boston Tea Party. Creating a foundation in critical and creative thinking for a historical event such as the Bosten Tea Party, enables one the basic structure in evaluating such a historical event. Without establishing a legitimate foundation, the process will become less effective and more difficult to assess the next steps in the creative/critical thinking process.

3. Explain the basis of the moral judgments made by Samuel Adams and Thomas Hutchinson. The basis of the moral judgements made by Samuel Adams was that he didn’t believe in taxation without representation. He believed that colonist were not represented in the Parliament and they could not be taxed by that body. Thomas Hutchinson was against the Stamp Act of 1765. He did however try to enforce the tax, believing it was his duty and the Parliament had the legal authority to oppose it....
