The two styles of love that I chose are Game-playing love and Possessive, excited love (mania). The reason I chose both game-playing love and possessive, excited love (mania) is because I have experienced these two styles of love in past relationships.

Game-playing love is when the person is not completely committed to the other person or their significant other. This type of love the person has a “main” spouse or partner, but continues to see other people as much as he or she would like. Game-playing love is full of unhappiness and stressful situation that it is not a healthy relationship to be in. I have been in a relationship where my partner was cheating on me with other woman and for some reason seemed to be scared to be committed or “tied down.”

Possessive, excited love (mania) is when a person cannot stand to be without the other and wants to spend every moment they can with that person. When their partner is upset with them or does not want to talk to them, the person tends to feel “sick.” In my past I have also experienced this type of love. I was so in love with my boyfriend at them time I wanted to spend every minute with him, I would skip school just to spend time with him, and when he began to tell me I should hang out with my friend more, my stomach began to hurt, I thought I would pass out.

I would say the similarities in these two love styles are they both are immature love. They are both extremely unhealthy and will most likely result in a relationship that does not last. They are different because possessive, excited love (mania) does not involve a person not able to commit, and it also does not involve a person who has multiple partners.
