The Motivational Achievements of Specialists and Guidance Counselors of Guidance and Counseling Department/ University of Bahrain

ABSTRACT

Study title: Facets of the motivational achievements of Specialists and Guidance Counselors of Guidance and Counseling Department/ University of Bahrain.

Study objectives:

1- detecting of the motivational achievement level of Specialists and Guidance Counselors of Guidance and Counseling Department.

2- verifying the presence of the motivational achievement structural level of Specialists and Guidance Counselors of Guidance and Counseling Department.

Study sample: The study examines on four specialists and eleven Guidance Counselors in the Guidance and Counseling Department/ University of Bahrain.

Study materials: The researchers used achievement motivation measurement which was prepared by A. Latif Mohammed Khalifa (2000).

Statistics methods used: 1-Mean 2- Average mean

Results:

1. The level of the motivational achievements in general is above the median which isn't a good indication of the level desired.

2. “The Sense of Responsibility” of Specialists and Guidance Counselors is above the median and below the level desired.

3. The level “pursuance for excellence” of Specialists and Guidance Counselors is within the required range.

4. The level of “persistence” of Specialists and Guidance Counselors is above the median and below the level desired.

5. The level of “Awareness of the importance of time” of Specialists and Guidance Counselors is within the good range

6. The level of “Future planning” of Specialists and Guidance Counselors is above the median and below the level desired.

. This study highlights some recommendations as the following:

1- Providing means to break work routine and increase the job satisfaction of Guidance Counselors so it improve the achievement motivation.

2- Making workshops to improve some personality traits such as ( self esteem , time management, planning for future ………) and improve individuals skills to work as one team within the vision and tasks of Specialists and Guidance...
