Text: II Corinthians 5:17:

“ Therefore, if anyone is in Christ, he is a new creation; the old has gone, the new has come!”

Change

 to substitute another or others for something else, usually of the same kind

The principle behind this is that, “you cannot transform others – your friends, relatives, community, the world unless you allow Him to transform you. At the same time, if you’re transformed you awe to transform others.”

And we have a word for that “set apart”.

Setting apart is a process whereby a person is formally chosen and blessed to carry out a specific calling or responsibility in God’s family. An ordination of a person by the Holy spirit to a priesthood office – priesthood of every believer. When you allow God to change you, right away you become His minister – not to live the “old self” but to carry out your calling and you life’s purpose He designed you to live – in His own ways and means.

God won’t use you until you allow Him to change you; your feelings, your personality, your understanding and you thoughts.

“Change your thoughts and you change your world.”

Norman Vincent Peale (1898 - 1993)

Romans 12:2 “Do not conform any longer to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind.”

Will you allow God to change you?

It's not that some people have willpower and some don't. It's that some people are ready to change and others are not.

James Gordon, M.D.
