Question 1:

As a manager I have to be fair to the rest of my employees who are serving genuinely for the Defense Department, therefore I will bring this matter to the upper management to take strict disciplinary action against such false employment. Even though this employee is competent, he or she has acted unethically and it is illegal. This can also affect the work safety, since the employee has no proper training. As stated we have learned from our past, where terrorist that falsified documents to carry out their mission. “Today, corporations are normally liable for the crimes committed by their agents and employees within the course and scope of their employment” (Miller & Jentz, 2011, p.156). It is not about an employee’s being competent for the job; it is about following the law and setting the example for the rest of the department or corporations. I understand that some decisions are hard to make but in terms of abiding the law, a reasonable decision has to be taken.

Question 2:

Indeed, as a manager I have to think broadly of why this employee has falsified his or her document and what is the appropriate disciplinary action for this misdemeanor act. In order to get to the judgment, I will have to seek the upper management and involve the Human Resource manager to seek my options. . “Doing what is right always comes down to the individual.
