Is Toyota's Mission Aligned with the Needs of Their Stakeholders?

On May 20, 2011 I conducted my informational interview with Mr. Ronald Regan. He is employed as a logistic Manager with Runaway Transportation (RT). Mr. Regan is retired military with an intensive background in shipping and receiving. By the way, he has been employed by RT for over 19 years. In fact, I am a 20 year naval veteran who specialized in shipping and receiving as well. One reason I considered Mr. Regan is that he is a close friend of the family, and he has a wealth of knowledge in the transportation industry. Secondly, I am currently seeking employment with RT. Indeed, Mr. Regan was the perfect choice for the interview.

I had many questions for Mr. Regan, but I directed my questions towards the hiring process. The first question was in regards to my resume. I needed to know exactly what the recruiter looked for on the resume for the position that I was interested in. Mr. Regan informed me that there were key words that a recruiter would look for while reviewing resumes. After a careful review of my resume, he made his recommendations; he suggested what the key words were and how to interject them into my resume. Directing my next question to the necessary skills required for this particular position. Mr. Regan had served in the position that I’m applying for on a previous occasion. I feel that he is a subject matter expert. I was interested in the job requirements and responsibilities next. I was informed that the position may require extensive traveling, but this is optional. An employee is either hired for the traveling position or an on-site position. My major concerns were with my resume and their job requirements so my questions were limited to merely getting the job.

The interview was a big success in my opinion. Mr. Regan thoroughly answered my questions with great detail. The rest of the interview consisted on information about RT. I was educated on the entire hiring process from beginning to end. Most of the time was spent going...
