The City of Smallsville is currently under the lead of a manager and her name is Sarah Baker. Currently the governor has come to Smallsville to ask Sarah to develop a project that would host and support an emergency spot for a blazing fire. Currently Smallsville is just well enough outside of the area of the blaze to facilitate this help. Smallsville has a vast amount of resources and land that can be used to hold the people that will be supporting the blaze. The setup for the project would be called “Tent City”. However currently Sarah, is having trouble coming up with what type of management structure to setup for the “Tent City” project. There are several items that need to be setup for the project such as allocation of resources and authorization to run the “Tent City”.

As we can see based on the project, that there are several aspects that will require one to believe that their needs to be several managers on the project. Sarah has now come to ask what type of leadership style should she use in order to work on the project. As we can see from the Case study that she is also trying to run the city, which does not allow her to devote all of her time to the project. As we look over the leadership styles we must first assess the differences between the different styles of leadership? As Discussed in Making the Team, the various leadership styles are Visionary, Charismatic, Participatory, servant, contingent, transformational, and Transactional. There are many advantages to these that would relate to this project, however we must consider which one may be the best for this project. In my opinion I think there can be a combination of two of these to actually work. They would actually involve a visionary aspect would allow Sarah to share the ideas that were put upon and relate those to the groups that are involved.
