Patton – Fuller Hospital Networking Business Analysis

This will serve as a RFP for Patton – Fuller Hospital. The current business system the hospital uses is an automated system that relies on human capital to be managed. This system is limited since it doesn’t address issues such as information sharing between departments, which are important regarding the speed of being able to access patient information. The current system allows for human error due to data entry in multiple departments for the same patient. This creates redundancy of data and less accurate information. Data is not easily accessed between departments for each patient. The current process of managing data is very bureaucratic and managed inefficiently. The hospital can use a system upgrade that will allow the departments to utilize a more integrated approach. This upgrade will create efficiency and information can be shared between departments, outside vendors, and patients. We will define current systems in use and recommend a system for the hospital to implement.

In a hospital various medical professionals deliver services, from the doctors to technicians. These services need to be managed through the hospitals network in an efficient manner. Departments need to be able to communicate and share documents in order to effectively manage patient care. In the healthcare industry cost are constantly increasing. In order to facilitate the services offered by healthcare professionals and keep costs down, hospitals need to employ software that facilitates this effort. CRM (Customer Relations Management) software offers many benefits to an organization. A few benefits are increase in staff productivity, cost avoidance, revenues, margin increases, increased customer satisfaction, loyalty, retention (Turban, et al., 2010).
