WEEKLY ASSESSMENT (JOURNAL) GUIDELINES

Directions: Maintain a daily journal of your experience. This will include 2 parts daily:

1) The DESCRIPTIVEentries which include but are not limited to your daily work assignments, new tasks, the atmosphere, opportunities, challenges, the work environment, work events, special events, and more.

2) The REFLECTIVE entries: Your feelings, reactions and challenges regarding the daily descriptive. Reflect on what you’ve learned to do or not to do. Discuss your level of proficiency and job knowledge ~ are you growing or stagnate? Ask yourself questions such as “in what way did the “xyz” situation reinforce or contradict what I’ve learned in the classroom?” How does this situation related to what I have learned from past professional experiences? Why did I react the way that I did? What could I have done differently?

On Sunday night by Midnight, submit the entire weekly journal and weekly SUMMARY. Use your daily notes to assess whether you’re progressing towards your individual learning objectives at the end of the week. Please use the following form to “cut and paste” and fill in both daily and weekly. Submit the entire document WEEKLY by midnight on Blackboard or email in this format. Please be accurate and thorough in your submissions. Use this template. Delete the days which were not worked this week.

DESCRIPTIVE: My supervisor informed me in detail about my position and responsibility. Also, specifically explained what I can do and can’t do on the job site when I am communicating / dealing with customers/viewers. All the workers emphasized about how important it is to know company’s responsibility to work for customers and satisfy their needs
