A Thrilling Day in my Life

I was thinking back to one of the most thrilling days of my life, it was the summer of 1990. I was living in New York with my family, which consisted of my three cousins, two of my aunts, my grandmother and my mother. My family was planning a vacation to Florida to visit Disney World for a week. I have never been there before and was so excited to go, I have heard nothing but good things about it. I waited nearly a month for the time to come to leave for Florida, it felt like the day would never come. I remember one morning I was awakened by the yells of excitement from my three cousins because it was finally the day to leave for Disney world.

Not only was it my first time going to Disney World, it was my first time flying in an airplane. I was sitting in the airport feeling very anxious and excited. I was scared to be in the plane, at the same time excited to get to Disney World. When we finally boarded the plane, it felt like the flight took forever. But after a few hours we finally landed, one step closer for me to get to Disney World. We then had to rent a car and drive to our hotel. When we arrived at the hotel we went to our room and the window faced Disney World, I was thrilled.

Waiting for everyone to get settled into the hotel was painful, it took forever! I just wanted to leave and go have fun. Disney World was walking distance from the hotel, which was convenient. We got to the gates of the park and purchased our tickets and then entered. I was happier than ever. I could not remain still due to all the excitement I was feeling. Looking at how everything was laid out and the décor was amazing. I have never seen anything like this before in my life. We started walking around the different shops that was at the beginning of the park. There were so many different kinds of places to see and do at Disney World.
