Communicating in Forums

1. Coach Anthony on why it is important to use inclusive language when communicating in class forums. –The first thing I would let Anthony know, Is that though he saw nothing wrong with his presentation it came off as kind of sexist, They have to be more cautious of their writing style when communicating in forums. It is important that he learn to use more inclusive language, what I mean by inclusive language is that, Use language not discriminatory toward any group of individuals.

2. Suggest how he could have avoided his mistakes. –To avoid such mistakes in the future, he should avoid using references as to race, gender, religion, or any other classification in forums; these are not used in inclusive language. In addition, he should think about how to address someone of a different gender, Remove the sexist language from your comments that way you are sure not to offend anyone. That way you are removing any stereotypes that can be directed toward any gender, Avoid using language that can be easily misconstrued or misinterpreted. That way he does not have to clarify what he meant to say with what he intended to say. Since he already said it in the forum, people will find what you said offensive.

3. Offer three pointers for how he may prevent these mistakes in the future.

1. When you give a speech write it down and proof read it that way, you do not have any content that may be offensive to anyone, just remember to inclusive language that means do not mention any specific gender, Race, religion, or specific group.

2. Do research on the topic that you are communicating on, there are several sources out there that can help you do this, one is the Internet, Do a search for that particular topic and find sources on the topic, that way you can find many views from many people. Second is the library, find several books on the topic and compare them to one another, Obtain different views from different authors. Third...
