2-Day Rental
Trips to Blockbuster have become frequent for me in the most recent months. I find myself renting movies as opposed to going to the movies. It is not that I would rather rent a movie and stay home. I would much rather get out of the house and go to a movie. However, going to the movies hasn’t been very enjoyable for me lately. Going to the movies is supposed to be a pleasant experience and that is not the case for me anymore. There are several factors that have contributed to my unpleasant movie experiences. Often, the major cause is inconsiderate people and poor management. The unpredictable situation of babies crying is another major reason I prefer to wait until the movie comes out on DVD. Movie theatres need to set rules about children and late arrivals and adhere to them.
People are not as considerate as they used to be. Over the past several decades, people have become less considerate of others. The behavior of some adults in a movie theatre is worse than that of a child. They come in late and often stand in front of the screen. They don’t seem to notice the rest of the theatre trying to watch the movie. Standing in front of the screen while others are trying to watch a movie isn’t the only thing I’ve seen an inconsiderate adult do. Often at times when people are late they come in noisy. I can never understand why people cannot come in quietly. They come in laughing or talking and it ruins the movie for everyone around. I do not understand why people find it necessary to come in so loud. Movie theaters need to have a rule where they do not allow latecomers into the theatre once the movie has started. Several plays and operas have such rules and they work out fine for everyone. The rule should be if you are late you cannot come in and you lose the money you paid for the ticket.
