Abstract

Design a network for the Silfinate Company that will support their needs pending their move to new location. Making sure all employees are supported within the central location and three physical locations as well. Answer Unit 3 review questions.

Using this Star Topology where all the computers and devices on the network are connected to the hub, (switch-router) central located for support to all locations containing all data. All workers data will be stored on the main server (Headquarters) for the traveling 10 employees can move to one location to another still being able to do their work at any of the three locations and have print/fax capabilities as well. This network design has a failsafe, if one node goes down only that node is affected the others will still operate normally. Very easy to manage because of its simplicity and functionality. This network design also provides shorter data paths between three locations. Making sure there are restrictions on internet access for viruses, and all security updates are preformed per schedule maintenance. I feel that this design will fit the Silfinate Corporation, and support all their needs....
