It would allow then to be able to keep a better eye on what stock they need to order, they could see their customers history of things they have bought as well as services they have had performed all at the touch of a few buttons. This would cut down the waiting time for them as they can see what they need to know without having to call or page someone in a different department to find out. This will also save them time in turn saving them money.

The use of the internet is another tool that they can benefit from. By the use of the internet they would be able to order their supplies, track them and know exactly when they should arrive. The internet allows a company to check on production and to keep track of it as well. They are able to p[lace orders online most quickly and efficiently than by phone where they may encounter a wait on hold. They can also use the internet to promote and boost sales and services of things they offer. They are able to send out emails to their suppliers in order to update orders if needed to be done. They can also use the internet to email previous clients about sales and specials that may be happening in order to bring in more business for the company.

With the world of technology changing everyday it is important for companies to change as well. By using the internet it also allows an employee to do things from other than just at the office. If they were to get a call after hours that something is going to be needed the next day by the use of the internet they would be able to access the supplier online and request whatever it may be without having to go back to the office to do it, they could do it right from home on their home computer.
