Never before has the earth been gifted such a financial opportunity as it has now. A space exploration organisation Dinity, in corporation with a leading mining company Mathercorp, have discovered the biggest deposit of Absenity known to man. The Deposit lies within the outer nebula on an isolated planned called Eros, and has an estimated revenue of roughly 20 billion times that of the entire accumulation of gold on Earth. To some scepticals, this situation is almost too good to be true, and it was until now.

The problem with Villinal (the name of the deposit on Eros) is neither physically or environmentally related, as atmospheric and seismic tests have indicated that a fully operational mine can be achieved. The problem is that of a cultural orientation. Unfortunately Villinal is located within a sector of land inhibited by the local race the Okura. In fact Villinal is not only beneath their land, it is the epicentre of their society. The civilisation has practically evolved around the deposit, creating a very strong spiritual and environmental relationship. In a recent conference held to try and rationalise the situation, an outraged Okura representative compared there situation to his people wanting to invade earth to dig a hole through the town of Jerusalem in order to find a rare type of tomato. Mathercorp have issued the Okura surveys and evidence that indicate the underground mine they are proposing to create will not alter any state of the delicate environment on Eros. The Okura find these reports unsunstantial, and insist there is no possible way that the people of Earth will ever understand the connection they share with the land. They have apparently been studying our way of life from a far for centuries, and have seen how we have manufactured Earth into something it was never suppost to be, and quote “we want nothing to do with mining’.

The deposit is far too extensive and profitable to merely walk away from though, so Mathercorp took a step...
