* WHAT MIGHT THE ENORMOUS POPULARITY OF PSYCHOTROPIC DRUGS SUGGEST ABOUT THE NEEDS AND COPING STYLES OF INDIVIDUALS TODAY AND ABOUT PROBLEM SOLVING IN OUR TECHNOLOGICAL SOCIETY?

* Psychotropic drugs are drugs that primarily affect the brain and reduce many symptoms of mental dsyfunctioning like emotions. Drugs like antianxiety drugs (minor tranquilizers) that help reduce tension and anxiety. Antidepressants drugs help improve the mood of depress people. Drugs like antibipolar drugs and antipsychotic drugs help those who suffer greatly in their minds and their mood changes often. the population may think that the constant use of such drugs may increase drug dependency, and/or that it might not work. Even with ECT (electroconvulsive therapy) nothing is guarantee to work 100%; not even psychosurgery may not get all the affected tissues in the brain that might change the subject.

* FREUD’S INFLUENCE ON WESTERN SOCIETY HAS EXTENDED BEYOND THE CLINICAL REAL. CAN YOU THINK OF WAYS THAT HIS TEORY HAS AFFECTED LITERATURE, MOVIES, CHILD-REARING, PHILOSOPHY, AND EDUCATION?

* He made it possible to where we don’t hold any issues by formulating the different types of forces, ID, EGO, & SUPEREGO. Freud was able to identify certain behaviors and mind moods. This made him the Father of Psychodynamics. As far as having any effect on today’s modern technology, he just allow the people, by the usage of his theories and books, to look deeper into the human mind, behavior of them and the outcome of this behavior. It also improve the relationship between the child and parent by allowing the understand of the different stages of the mind.

* WHY MIGHT POSITIVE RELIGIOUS BELIEFS BE LINKED TO MENTAL HEALTH? WHY HAVE SO MANY CLINICIANS BEENSUSPICIOUS OF RELIGIOUS BELIEFS FOR SO LONG?
