Background of the Study

Introduction

Magic Bread Bakeshop and Restaurant was operated by Mr. Luther Escala including his Baker Chef Sam and Catherine. The business was built on July 2005. They sell bread, cookies, muffins and noodles. They do so in accordance with time and products that are not profitable they sell it. Their inventory focuses on main products which are bread, cookies, muffins, and noodles. Over a minimum of five years they used manual procedure onto the inventory and they were consuming time to send it to Ms.Loyda Matibag to encode the inventory in the computer because they travelled to send it.

About using the existing system it gives them a waste of time because of doing work in inventory and at the same time slow report in details. It does not have any security features because it is only written on log book. The report might lose before even sending it to the Manager.

The proponents decided to propose a system for Magic Bread Bakeshop and Restaurant to help them to make their inventory and sell products easily so that they will not send it to the encoder anymore. The proposed system is an automated Point of Sales and Monitoring System, a computerized network operated by a main computer and linked to several checkout terminals.

POS software records each sale when it happens, so the inventory records are always up-to-date. Better still, get much more information about the sale than could gather with a manual system. By running reports based on this information can make better decisions about ordering and merchandising.

The proposed system contains three users, first which is the admin will be the Manager that can be able to list all the finish products and monitor all the transactions and editing. The second User which is the Chef, can be able to monitor the product and add if there was left or none and he cannot be able to change the price of the product and the third User which is the cash registrar, can do only one purpose...
