8. Course Description:

Human Behavior in Organization is a course which introduces the students to the dynamics that are at work in any organization and which will explain human behavior. The aim of the course is to help students understand people’s behavior in the organization through looking into the frameworks of behavioral science and management. Increased understanding will develop skills to help upgrade human relationships at work.

9. Course Objectives:

Generally, the course aims to familiarize the students with the basic concepts, theories, and principles of human behavior in organizations leading to a wider understanding of its impact to the overall organizational thrust and global implication.

Students will be exposed to many topics that will open their understanding on how and why people at work behave the way they do and how such behavior affects them and others in work efficiency and productivity.

Students’ understanding of the elements that create these human dynamics will increase their awareness of their own particular work situation, hence, give them the distinct opportunity of improving their own behavior towards themselves and towards others that are internal and external to the organization.

More specifically, the students are expected to be able to –

1. Appreciate the course overview and understand fully the range of topics to be covered in the course and the expectations of their full participation as learners.

2. Define, describe, identify, trace, and explain the topics under discussion.
