Organizational Behavior Terminology and Concepts

There are many aspects of the organizational behaviors and organizational culture and how they play a role in todays’ globalization in business. Organizational behaviors and culture varies form organization to organization. No two are alike. The concepts of organizational culture and organizational behaviors are not the same thing. Many factors influence the behavior and culture of organizations such as organizational culture, organizational behavior, diversity, and communication. People who study these dynamic influences to try to understand how these behaviors and culture form and evolve as the outside environment changes around them. The study of human behavior in individuals, groups, and organizations is called Organizational Behavior or also known as OB (Schermerhorn, Hunt, & Osborn, 2008) . This paper will review organizational culture and organizational behaviors and how they relate to each other.

Organizational Behaviors

Organizations are a group of people who work together to achieve common goals. People within these organizations create dynamic behaviors over time. Behaviors are changing as different groups of people shuffle through an organization. As people learn and develop behaviors throughout their careers, they will disseminate their knowledge and behaviors within the organization. Individuals have behaviors, which are different from each other. Groups within an organization behave different from each other. For example the production department will behave differently in a specific situation compared to the scheduling department. As mentioned earlier Organizational Behavior (OB) is the study of human behavior, which one tries to understand individual and group behavior. OB studies contribute to the understanding and changing of behaviors in the individual to help the individual to grow with the organization.
