The Walt Disney Company

The Walt Disney Company (Disney) is a leading diversified international family entertainment and media conglomerate that reaches every person regardless of age, throughout America and around the world. Disney is expert at creating magic and memories for its customers through its four business segments: parks and resorts, studio entertainment, media networks and consumer products. Many of my best childhood memories and keepsakes are related to Disney. I imagine that my future children and grandchildren will be able to experience similar joys in years to come. I was quite impressed with the volume of information provided on the Disney corporate website for each of these areas. From Disney’s corporate website, the stated mission is to “be one of the world's leading producers and providers of entertainment and information. Using our portfolio of brands to differentiate our content, services and consumer products, we seek to develop the most creative, innovative and profitable entertainment experiences and related products in the world.” Even though Disney has expanded over the years into many lines of business, its core mission remains that of providing quality entertainment for people around the world. The Disney vision is to “deliver, with integrity, the most consistently exceptional entertainment experiences for people of all ages and interests.” Disney has six values that the company and its affiliates and subsidiaries are based on: Innovation, Quality, Community, Storytelling, Optimism, and Decency. These values are followed in order to make the Disney brands stand out.
