Peaceful Place

35. You are on your dream vacation and have just finished shooting a roll of film. As you go to develop the film, the local merchant offers to make a postcard of one of your photos. Describe the photo, why you selected it and write a brief note to your friends back home. (Be sure to include where you are and what you have been doing there.) (University of the Pacific)

In the photo I chose from all the others is the one I think shows the most about my vacation and me. It is a nice day out where the sun is heating the earth and the breeze is occasionally cooling it down. There in the dead center is an older pier going off into the deep blue sparkling ocean. Off to the side are some sailboats that bobbed with the anchors sunk down into the squishy sand way down deep. You can faintly see people having fun on the sailboats, like the elders sitting, catching up, and laughing, kids jumping off the sides of the boat into the cool water, and the dogs running around the boat with excitement. You can also see the pearl white sand running against the pure blue water, going on for miles. There are bright colorful umbrellas neatly scattered along the beachfront. Kids are building magnificent sand castles, adults are reading while sun bathing, and there are people walking along the edge of the water. Also there is one person that stands out, she is all collecting seashells by the shore, even though there are so many things around her, she is all alone. I selected this photo from all the others because I feel that my life is sometimes chaotic but it can be peaceful at the same time. In my photo there are many things going on, the chaotic and the peaceful parts of the photo. In the chaotic part of the photo its where everyone is on the beach doing different activities.
